Adopt a Family for the Holidays!
We need your help!
*
Unit 730 Auxiliary would like to help a needy family during the upcoming holidays and we need your assistance. We are searching for a family who could possibly use our help. If you know a family who may be struggling through difficult times, please let us know.
We are considering all local needy familes, but would like to help a deployed service person first, a memeber of our post family or a local veteran's family.
If you know of anyone you feel should be considered for this program, please contact a member of the "Adopt a Family" committee or pick up an application on the bulletin board at the post. All applications must be received no later than October 23rd.
We are also accepting donations for this program. If you are interested in making a donation we will be happy to supply you with a list of needed items.
For further details or questions, please feel free to call one of the committee members listed below.
*
Our sincere appreciation,
Unit 730 Auxiliary

DEPLOYED TROOPS CARE PACKAGE PROJECT
*
Have you noticed a new display in the lobby of Post 730? Well, if you haven't, you need to check it out with a visit real soon!
*
The display represents the newest Auxilliary project, DEPLOYED TROOPS CARE PACKAGE, which was established to support deployed troops of Post 730, as well as deployed troops of family members of Post 730. The display provides information on what items are needed, but the following article provides the truest picture of life in Afgahnistan.
*
As the article states,
*
"A lot of people think that Afghanistan is like Iraq right now, and it's not They're two totaly different things. Iraq is more set up with everything that the guys need," she says. Afghanistan - they went in with nothing."
*
*
Please consider donating items or funds to support our own Post 730 troops.
There is a donation jar located in the canteen beside the daily book for those who may wish to provide support through monetary donations.
*
Currently, the Auxiliary is accepting the names of deployed members of Post 730 as well as deployed family members of Post 730. It is our hope that as  donations grow so to will our ability to support not only our own Post 730 members, but other deployed troops of our friends and the community in general.
*
For those who wish to donate a large number of items at one time, such as a case or carton, we can handle those as well. We will break down the items and divide them up according to each deployment location.
*
We will ship care packages to any deployed theatre of operation. Each deployment location has specific needs, especially when it comes to the time of year in which the package is sent. The needs of a deployed member in Afghanistan may be different than the needs of a deployed member to Korea or Germany.
*
If you wish to have a care package sent, contact Dee McHugh at: ossagent@yahoo.com or by calling 651-0553.
